TERMS AND CONDITIONS – ESSENTIAL FREIGHT SERVICES PTY LTD trading as GOLD COAST MOVES
PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING FOR YOUR BENEFIT & UNDERSTANDING OF GOLD COAST MOVES QUOTES TERMS & CONDITIONS OF SERVICES.
“Removalist” refers “ESSENTIAL FREIGHT SERVICES PTY LTD” and all legal business trading names owned by “ESSENTIAL FREIGHT SERVICES PTY LTD” such as
GOLD COAST MOVES
“Customer” refers to the owner of items and person responsible for payment
“Quote” refers to the Quote given by the Removalist to the Customer.
BY PAYING THE DEPOSIT YOU ARE ACCEPTING THE QUOTE PROVIDED & BY DOING SO ARE AGREEING TO THESE TERMS & CONDITIONS OF GOLD COAST MOVES SERVICES.
A deposit of 20% of your quoted price is payable to secure and lock in your booking & agreed date of uplift.
Payment of the balance is due prior to or on arrival at delivery destination.
In the event that a booking is canceled less than ten (10) business days prior to a booked pick update, the Customer’s deposit will not be refunded. If before this time all monies paid to GOLD COAST MOVES by the customer WILL BE REFUNDED IN FULL BY GOLD COAST MOVES
If the customer wishes to change their booking date, this can be done provided space is available on the date they wish to change to, and ten (10) business days notice is given to GOLD COAST MOVES.
The customer will be notified 30-60 minutes prior to the truck arriving at puck up & delivery.
Entry & access to goods/items being transported/moved or delivered must be available at both pickup and delivery to GOLD COAST MOVES to avoid a charge for waiting time. Waiting time charges are @ $120ph or part thereof.
Waiting time will be calculated in 15minute blocks.
There will be no charge for the first/initial 15 minutes
ACCESS PLEASE NOTE : Your quote does not include any difficult obstacles such as but not limited to steep, narrow or uneven driveways, flights of stairs, narrow stairwells, difficult parking or long walks to and from vehicle – unless previously stated on your quote.
Customer to advise Removalist if access is by flights of stairs or by lift so this information can be calculated into the quote.
Standard or Good access relates to the front door of the dwelling/Customer’s home being on the ground floor within 30 meters of where GOLD COAST MOVES trucks & vehicles can legally park.
Please note most interstate trucks are large removal trucks our trucks are up to 12m long, 2.5m wide & 4.3m high. Please ensures sufficient parking & access for GOLD COAST MOVES trucks on the day of uplift. 30 meters distance on ground level from where the truck can legally park is included in all GOLD COAST MOVES quotes. In the unlikely event of a truck breakdown/accident or traffic congestion which may cause a delay in either uplift or delivery, GOLD COAST MOVES cannot be held accountable financially for any out of pocket expenses to the customer resulting from such an event.
FERRY VEHICLE If ferry vehicle is required to move customers furniture/goods to or from the truck, the customer agrees to be charged accordingly or supply/organize such a service themselves.
INVENTORY & QUOTES Unless otherwise specified in writing all items are based on STANDARD or MEDIUM. For oversized or unusual items correct dimensions (H x W x D) are required to be sure sufficient space is allocated for you in the truck and that you have been quoted accurately.
EXTRA ITEMS WILL BE LOADED IF THE TRUCK HAS SUFFICIENT SPACE ON THE DAY & A $ AMOUNT FOR ANY EXTRA ITEMS HAS BEEN AGREED ON.
BUT GOLD COAST MOVES REMOVALS ARE NOT OBLIGED TO LOAD EXTRA ITEMS IF THESE ITEMS WILL INTERFERE/IMPOSE ON OR WITH SPACE ALREADY BOOKED BY OTHER CLIENTS/CUSTOMERS.
PLEASE NOTE: GO OVER YOUR FINAL LIST OR ORIGINAL ACCEPTED QUOTE AND CHECK THAT IT IS ACCURATE PRIOR TO YOUR UPLIFT DATE.
PLEASE NOTE & UNDERSTAND
YOU HAVE ONLY BEEN CHARGED FOR THE ITEMS AS LISTED ON YOUR QUOTE OR INVENTORY OR M3 ALLOWED BY GOLD COAST MOVES BASED ON THE CUSTOMERS WRITTEN INFORMATION AT THE TIME OF YOUR BOOKING & DEPOSIT BEING PAID & ACCEPTED.
Changes to Inventories must be made 10 days prior to pick up. If extra items are added after this time the extra charge will be advised by Removalist at pick up if sufficient room is available on the truck on the day of uplift.
If not, the Customer agrees to go on next available truck with sufficient room & if storage is required the costs of storage & moving the items into storage will be the Customer’s responsibility.
Prices for individual items are based on average medium furniture/furniture removal industry sizing i.e M3.
It is the Customer’s responsibility to advise the Removalist if items are larger than average or smaller than average or are heavy in weight.
Boxes should not be excessively heavy & be packed to be carried by one man
PLEASE PACK BOOKS IN BOOK BOXES!
PACKING GOLD COAST MOVES recommend appropriate removal boxes & items be labelled with Customer’s name & phone number.
Boxes are quoted in industry sizing as –
Standard Removal Cartons or T chest 43cm x 45cm x 62cm
Standard Book/wine boxes 35cm x 35cm x 39cm
It is the Customer’s responsibility to empty cupboards of all items for transit. This includes garage tool cupboards and household cupboards as when traveling Interstate or long distances packed cupboards or drawers & items placed inside these, may be prone to damage or breakage or furniture may collapse if overloaded or filled.
Hanging items from wardrobes need to be packed suitably for transit, into port-a-robes, bags or boxes or suitcases to ensure safe transit.
It is the Customer’s responsibility to advise the Removalist if using boxes of varying size such as supermarket boxes etc, or boxes exceeding removal carton size & to supply measurements so space required can be calculated accurately.
Lawn mowers, motorbikes and fuel operated tools etc need to be drained of fuel for insurance & safety purposes
Gas bottles of any kind or size are NOT permissible due to safety regulations & Dangerous goods act
NO EXPLOSIVE, FLAMMABLE/ HAZARDOUS OR ILLEGAL liquids/substances OR FIREARMS can be transported by GOLD COAST MOVES
GOLD COAST MOVES recommends proper removal boxes be used to ensure the safety of goods inside, cheaper boxes such as supermarket boxes have been known to crush during transport.
GOLD COAST MOVES accepts no liability for damage to goods packed by the Customer.
GOLD COAST MOVES will do everything within our guidelines to ensure the load is stacked into the truck & is secured for transport.
NOTE: Although items are wrapped in padded removal blankets whilst in transit, it is advisable to wrap TV screens and delicate items in bubble wrap for added protection or box the TV in its original box or suitable packaging.
FLAT PACK ITEMS/READY TO ASSEMBLE ITEMS
If you have purchased & assembled these items in your new home, please make sure if you are willing to transport them assembled that they will fit through the doorways of your house & are sturdy enough to transport long distances we can not warrant these items.
PLEASE NOTE : Plastic storage containers are not included under our insurance, as these items are never easy to carry long distances and are never guaranteed to make the trip without damage, especially the lids.
Please make sure fragile items and valuables are packed into appropriate strong sealed/taped cardboard/removal boxes to ensure no damage comes to these items.
GOLD COAST MOVES provide transit insurance to the combined value of $100,000.00 in any such one vehicle operated under GOLD COAST MOVES. Transit insurance will cover the load of the truck to the value of $100,000.00 in the unlikely event of a collision, rollover or fire. Please note Transit insurance is NOT ALL RISK insurance. ALL RISK insurance is recommended on all interstate moves, you can inquire about ALL RISK insurance by visiting www.removalinsurance.com.au
PAYMENTS Payment must be cleared/received in our account or hands of a GOLD COAST MOVES representative prior to goods being unloaded at the delivery destination as advised in our quote.
PLEASE NOTE If making final payment by internet transfer, and pick up is over a weekend or on a Monday, or public holiday, Customer needs to allow sufficient time to ensure funds are cleared usually 2-3 business days.
If payment has been transferred & not received into the account of GOLD COAST MOVES.
CREDIT CARD PAYMENTS
If paying by Credit card payment in full must be received by
GOLD COAST MOVES prior to unloading at delivery.
We accept VISA and Mastercard payments.
